Preventing Fires at the Office

There are always fire hazards at your home or office and today we want to focus on the ones at your work home. Below are some tips on how to keep your office space safe from fire hazards.
- Don't smoke inside.
- Turn off all electrical devices at the end of the work day.
- Watch how much you plug into an electrical circuit.
- Keep heat sources, like space heaters, away from electrical outlets and cords.
- Check on cords to see if they are fraying or damaged.
- Make sure everyone is trained on how to use a fire extinguisher in case of emergency.
- Make sure everyone knows the fire exits in case of fire.
- Make sure office spaces are free of clutter or papers because they can help the fire to spread quickly.
- Store chemicals/flammable materials in one area of the space.
